Lake Street Dive has teamed up with PLUS1 to donate $1 per ticket to support the First Peoples Fund, which helps Native artists and culture bearers strengthen their communities, and the PLUS1 LA Fires Fund, providing crucial relief and long-term recovery for those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Lake Street Dive has pushed the boundaries of pop music, uniting listeners with their eclectic sound—a bold mix of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more. The five-piece band’s inclusive spirit has made them a fan favorite, known for creating a powerful connection with every audience. In the creation of their new album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/vocalist James Cornelison channeled their sense of purpose, often reflecting on the issues that divide us today, such as unchecked technological growth, cultural isolation, and the relentless pursuit of self-optimization. Born from what they call “joyful rebellion,” Good Together is a vibrant, defiant work designed to get you dancing and singing along with pure joy.
A follow-up to their 2021 album Obviously, Good Together once again pairs the band with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). The album blends genres from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, beginning with the title track, a quirky love song that celebrates the thrill of defying expectations and following your heart. “Dance with a Stranger” proves their knack for creating feel-good anthems with a meaningful message, evoking both carefree euphoria and a sense of empathy. “Walking Uphill” is a cathartic reflection on self-healing, while “Seats at the Bar” puts a playful spin on the classic love song. On “Twenty-Five,” Price offers a tender, nostalgic ballad about a past romance. Throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive taps into the deep camaraderie that has always fueled their music, delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and exuberant album to date.
