    Big Apple Comedy Club 56

    The Newton Theatre

Our fan-favorite comedy show, The Big Apple Comedy Club returns to The Newton Theatre with a hilariously new lineup. This July don’t miss Matthew Broussard (known for mondaypunday.com), Kerri Louise (Showtime Special “Funny Women of a Certain Age”), JJ Ramirez, (known for Atlantic City’s Borgata Casino appearances) and Ted Alexandro (who currently tours with Jim Gaffigan).

    Ted Alexandro

A native New Yorker, Ted Alexandro has appeared on David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, Comedy Central and Dr. Katz. He’d had two Half Hour Specials on Comedy Central. Ted began as a music teacher in NYC elementary schools, which he talks about in his stand up. Now three decades into his comedy career, Ted is married with two toddlers - still using kids for comedic fodder, but now they’re his own. Ted has Five Comedy Specials/Albums available to stream. His most recent special “CUT/UP” is free on Youtube. Ted currently tours with Jim Gaffigan.

    Matthew Broussard

Born in New Jersey, raised in Atlanta, and the 2012 winner of Houston's Funniest Person, Matthew Broussard is not exactly sure where he's from. Matthew earned a degree in Applied Mathematics and had a job as a financial analyst before moving to West Hollywood to pursue stand-up comedy full time. His brand of playful, witty humor covers topics from physics and grammar to the hardships of looking like an 80s movie villain. Aside from his popular webcomic, mondaypunday.com, he can be seen on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The League, The Mindy Project, Conan, Roast Battle, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the film Here Today with Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish, and has his own Half Hour Special on Comedy Central. But his Cajun father and Jewish mother still really want him to take the GMAT.

    Kerri Louise

High-energy, commanding, and versatile (but enough about her sex life) Kerri Louise is on a roll. She’s been seen on dozens of TV shows including Dr. Oz, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, VH1, TrueTV, The Apprentice, Comics Unleashed, Gotham Comedy Live and most recently on the new Showtime Special, "Funny Women of a Certain Age.” Kerri lives in New York with comedian husband, Tom Cotter and their three sons. Being in a household full of testosterone, Kerri needed an escape which is why her web series, "My Mommy Minute” has become very popular on YouTube for almost a decade. That audience also inspired Kerri to write "Mean Mommy”, a funny how to-mom book and the children’s book “Harry The Elephant Has An Allergy.”

    J.J. Ramirez

J.J. Ramirez is one of New York’s very best headliners. He is a regular at America’s best clubs including The World Famous Comic Strip, The Improv and Caroline’s On Broadway. On television, J.J. has appeared on A&E’s “Comedy on the Road”, “Evening at the Improv”. Fox’s “Comic Strip Live” and Comedy Central. In the casinos, J.J is also well-entrenched having appeared at Atlantic City’s Borgata Casino and The Tropicana in Las Vegas.
