    Hootie & the Blowfish is an American rock band formed in 1986 in Columbia, South Carolina. The album became a massive commercial success, fueled by hits like "Hold My Hand," "Let Her Cry," and "Only Wanna Be with You." "Cracked Rear View" went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time, earning the band Grammy Awards and widespread acclaim.Throughout the 1990s, Hootie & the Blowfish continued to release successful albums, including "Fairweather Johnson" (1996) and "Musical Chairs" (1998). Their music resonated with audiences across generations, with its catchy melodies and relatable lyrics.Despite their immense success, Hootie & the Blowfish took a hiatus in the early 2000s as members pursued solo projects and other interests. Darius Rucker, in particular, found success as a country music artist.In 2019, the band reunited for a highly anticipated tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Cracked Rear View."
