UCPAC is excited to welcome back The Red Hot Chilli Pipers to our Main Stage this St. Patrick’s weekend! Expect bagpipes with attitude, drums with a Scottish flair, and a fiery rock show that’s so hot it comes with its own health warning!

It’s bagpipes. It’s rock. It’s Bagrock. Imagine AC/DC meets the poet Robert Burns. Where rock anthems and timeless Scottish tunes blend seamlessly, bringing the spirit of the glens and mountains to the stage.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers — (NOT the Peppers!) — are a 9-piece powerhouse featuring pipers, guitarists, keyboardists, and drummers. They’ve been electrifying audiences worldwide, from New York to Beijing to Melbourne, with top-tier musicianship and a passion for the pipes that will leave you awestruck. With four music degrees from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and all their pipers and drummers performing at the highest levels of bagpiping, this band is a force to be reckoned with.

Since winning the grand prize on the U.K. talent show When Will I Be Famous in 2007, the Chillis have been unstoppable, rocking out wherever they go. Formed in 2002, they’ve become a global phenomenon, fusing bagpipes with rock in their signature ‘Bagrock’ style. Their setlist includes iconic pipe tunes like “The Flowers of Scotland” and “Amazing Grace” (Chilli-style, of course!), alongside reimagined rock anthems such as Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” Coldplay’s “Clocks,” Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars,” and an electrifying medley of “Smoke on the Water” and AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.”
