Atlantic City is preparing to turn back the clock nearly six decades this August, as the RE-WIND ’69 Music Festival brings a fully immersive tribute to the historic music, counterculture, and peace and love spirit of the original 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair directly to the Jersey Shore. Running from August 14 through August 16, 2026, at the Showboat Resort’s Garden Pier, the festival gives Atlantic City audiences three full days of live tribute performances honoring the artists who defined that generation defining summer.
Produced by Side By Side Live Entertainment, the festival centers on ten high caliber tribute bands, each meticulously recreating the iconic sets and sound of the legendary acts who took the original Woodstock stage. The lineup unfolds across three distinct days, each building its own genuine sense of musical progression through the era’s defining sounds.
Day one, August 14, opens with Steal Your Face performing a tribute to the Grateful Dead, followed by the John McNutt Band bringing Creedence Clearwater Revival’s catalog to life. Wooden Ships continues the evening with a tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, before Everyday People closes out the night channeling the funk and soul energy of Sly and the Family Stone.
Day two, August 15, brings a particularly rich lineup of tributes. The evening features special performances honoring Richie Havens, performed by Pamela Renee Smith, and Joe Cocker, brought to life by Billy Mungus, before White Rabbit takes the stage with a tribute to Jefferson Airplane. Just Like Janis follows, delivering a tribute to Janis Joplin fronted by New Jersey’s own CC Coletti, giving the local music scene a genuine hometown connection within the broader festival lineup. The night closes with Who’s Next performing the hits of The Who, rounding out one of the weekend’s most packed single day lineups.
Day three, August 16, shifts the festival’s energy in a slightly different direction, opening with a tribute to the Jeff Beck Group before Edgardo Cintron takes the stage performing the fiery Latin rock of Santana. The entire weekend closes with Kiss The Sky, a premier Jimi Hendrix recreation show fronted by longtime tribute artist Jimy Bleu, giving the festival a genuinely fitting finale built around one of Woodstock’s most legendary and enduring performances.
Beyond the music itself, RE-WIND ’69 has been built into a genuinely immersive period experience well beyond the stage. The outdoor performance space features professional sound and lighting alongside psychedelic visual projections designed to transport attendees directly back to 1969. Surrounding the stage, a vintage themed vendor marketplace sells handmade goods, while dedicated tie-dye stations and photo opportunities give festival goers plenty of ways to fully embrace the era’s aesthetic. Food trucks and themed drinks round out the grounds, giving attendees a full day’s worth of activity layered around the live music itself.
The festival takes place at Showboat Resort’s Garden Pier, located at 801 Boardwalk in Atlantic City, putting the entire event directly on the boardwalk within easy reach of the Shore’s other summer attractions. Single day and multiday passes are available online through both Eventbrite and Universe, with pricing starting around $55 depending on the pass selected. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to settle in comfortably for the day, though outside alcohol is not permitted on the grounds.
With ten tribute bands spanning the Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Santana, and Jimi Hendrix, alongside a genuinely immersive vintage atmosphere built around tie-dye, psychedelic visuals, and period inspired vendors, RE-WIND ’69 offers Atlantic City visitors a rare chance to experience the spirit of Woodstock’s original three days of peace, love, and rock and roll without ever leaving the Jersey Shore.
