On Saturday, June 21, the iconic Smithereens take over the Wonder Bar for an intimate, unforgettable night of classic hits, deep cuts, and electric energy—joined by special guest vocalist and guitarist Marshall Crenshaw.
Celebrated for their gritty sound, heartfelt songwriting, and Jersey-grown swagger, The Smithereens have been blazing stages worldwide since 1980. With over 17 albums and 2,500+ live shows under their belts, they remain a pillar of American rock, continuing to tour in honor of the late Pat DiNizio with the help of longtime friends like Crenshaw and bassist Graham Maby.
Their latest release, COVERS, showcases the band’s wide-ranging influences with 22 bold renditions of timeless tracks—making this performance the perfect blend of nostalgia and rock ‘n’ roll fire.
Asbury Park has always been part of The Smithereens’ story, and this North 2 Shore Festival show promises to bring fans closer than ever in one of the city’s most beloved venues.
