Summer Parks Concert Series for 2024

The Camden County Board of Commissioners is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the Summer Parks Concert Series for 2024. This year, the series boasts an expanded lineup with more acts scheduled than ever before. In a new development, the county is teaming up with local organizations to host public awareness and heritage nights, including Italian Heritage Night, Juneteenth, and a special salute to veterans. To add to the excitement, Double Nickel Brewing has once again collaborated with the Camden County Commissioners to craft the exclusive Camden County Rocks beer.

“We eagerly anticipate our summer concerts as they provide our residents with enjoyable, free entertainment right in their own communities,” expressed Commissioner Jeff Nash, who serves as liaison to the Camden County Parks Department. “This year, we’re especially thrilled to kick things off with an extended lineup and the delightful beer crafted in partnership with Double Nickel. It’s shaping up to be an amazing summer, and we can’t wait to get started.”

Last year, the Commissioners teamed up with Double Nickel Brewing to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of Cooper River Park with the Cooper River 100 beer. Continuing the successful partnership, this year sees the launch of Camden County Rocks, a seasonal offering from the Pennsauken Township brewery tailored specifically for the summer concert series. Camden County Rocks promises to be another refreshing summer brew designed to complement the concert season. The brewery will be onsite, offering samples of their seasonal beers throughout the summer concert series.

“We’re excited to kick off our second annual collaboration with the Commissioners, crafting another seasonal, easy-drinking beer that captures the essence of the Camden County Park System and its expanding concert series,” shared Brian Needham, head of sales and co-founder of Double Nickel Brewing. “As a proud member of the Pennsauken community and beyond, Double Nickel is committed to being an active partner. We’re leveraging our brewing expertise to create a beverage that reflects the spirit of summer concerts. Cans of Camden County Rocks will be available later in May and for sale during concerts across the parks system.”

The 2024 lineup promises an array of stellar acts gracing Camden County, including Everclear, a powerhouse alternative rock band from the 1990s, the iconic rockers Gin Blossoms, and the five-time Grammy Award-winning bassist and singer Esperanza Spalding.

Mayor Victor Carstarphen of Camden City also expressed his excitement about the expanded concert lineup.

“Camden County consistently delivers outstanding free entertainment through the annual concert series,” Mayor Carstarphen remarked. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy quality performances at top-notch venues right within their communities. Attending these concerts has become a cherished summer tradition for me and countless others. I encourage residents to savor the full schedule of fantastic music planned for 2024.”
