Violinist Sean Lee: The 24 Paganini Caprices

A recipient of Lincoln Center’s prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, American violinist Sean Lee has captured the attention of audiences worldwide, with performances described by The New York Times as breathtakingly beautiful. An acknowledged expert on the dazzling music of Niccolo Paganini, Lee undertakes one of the most demanding feats in the violin repertoire, performing all 24 Paganini Caprices in a single concert. Known for their fast tempos and extraordinary technical difficulty, the Caprices require some of the most advanced techniques ever written for solo violin. Part of STNJ’s Sound Studio Series, an immersive musical experience held in the theater’s intimate Studio space limited to just 80 attendees, this performance places concertgoers at the very heart of Lee’s virtuosic artistry.
