Sutton Foster and Kelli O’Hara

Two of Broadway’s most celebrated stars, Tony Award winners Sutton Foster and Kelli O’Hara, join the Count Basie Orchestra as the closing event of the William Count Basie Birthday Weekend. Foster is a two-time Tony winner, earning her first for originating Millie Dillmount in Thoroughly Modern Millie and a second for Anything Goes, with a Broadway career that also includes Violet, Shrek, Young Frankenstein, Little Women, and a 2024 turn as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd opposite Aaron Tveit. O’Hara has established herself as one of Broadway’s greatest leading ladies, appearing in twelve Broadway shows and garnering eight Tony nominations, winning Best Leading Actress in a Musical in 2015 for her portrayal of Anna Leonowens in The King and I. Her other celebrated credits include South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza, The Bridges of Madison County, and Kiss Me Kate, alongside a recurring role as Aurora Fane on HBO’s The Gilded Age. Inspired in spirit by the great American songbook concerts of Broadway’s golden era, this special evening pairs their extraordinary voices with the full swinging sound of the Count Basie Orchestra.
