Rocky Mountain Christmas – Tribute to John Denver Ft. Ted Vigil

Ted Vigil is a singer, songwriter, and tribute artist born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area, who has been performing since the age of ten throughout school in concert, symphonic, and jazz bands, developing his talents as both a drummer and singer. In 2006, he went to Laughlin, Nevada to compete in Talent Quest 2006, a competition involving 28 states plus New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, and took first place. He went on to win KOMO TV 4’s NW Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike contest, and has played twice for John Denver’s own Windstar Foundation in Aspen, Colorado. In 2012, he was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the National Traditional Country Music Association, and he performed with the late Steve Weisberg, John Denver’s own lead guitarist from the 1970s, who described Vigil’s act as uncanny. Considered the country’s number one Denver tribute artist, Vigil embodies the late icon in look as well as voice, performing beloved classics like Take Me Home Country Roads, Annie’s Song, and Rocky Mountain High.
