JR Richards (Dishwalla Original Singer)

JR Richards is the original lead singer and principal songwriter of the platinum selling alternative rock band Dishwalla, whose 1996 breakout single Counting Blue Cars reached number one on the Alternative Songs chart, won the Billboard Award for Rock Song of the Year, and helped their debut album Pet Your Friends sell over 500,000 copies. Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Richards has sold millions of records and written or produced songs that have appeared in American Pie, How I Met Your Mother, Charmed, Smallville, and One Tree Hill.
