CUT International Short Film Fest 2026

The fifth annual CUT International Short Film Festival takes place at the Levoy Theatre, destined to become the premier festival in New Jersey for short form films. Storytelling is an art form as old as time, and even before humans painted pictures on cave walls, people sat around the campfire and told stories, relying on those who could captivate with drama, pathos, comedy, and insight to keep histories and explain the world. Filmmaking is an advanced form of storytelling, taking sight and sound and projecting a world onto a screen that doesn’t exist anywhere else, and the short film offers a glimpse into that world rather than the entire telling. Not reliant on huge budgets or massive crews, a small group of talented creatives can craft a tale of resonance and authenticity. The festival is a rental event; Levoy Theatre membership privileges do not apply.
