2025 New Jersey International Film Festival: A Hybrid Celebration of Global Cinema

The 30th Annual New Jersey International Film Festival is set to take place from May 30 to June 13, 2025, offering an exciting and dynamic blend of virtual screenings and in-person events. As one of New Jersey’s premier cultural events, the festival promises to showcase a diverse collection of cutting-edge films from independent filmmakers across the world. Whether you’re attending virtually or joining in person, this hybrid festival is designed to cater to every film lover.

Hybrid Format: Virtual & In-Person Screenings

In 2025, the festival is embracing the convenience and flexibility of both virtual and in-person screenings. All films will be available for Video on Demand (VOD), which means you can enjoy the festival from the comfort of your own home. Each film will be available for streaming for 24 hours on its scheduled date, with VOD start times set to 12:00 AM Eastern Time.

For those who want the full cinematic experience, select in-person screenings will take place at Voorhees Hall #105, located on the Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick, NJ. The in-person screenings will begin at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM on their respective dates, giving attendees the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of the big screen while interacting with filmmakers and fellow film enthusiasts.

Ticket Information

  • General Admission Ticket: $15 per program
  • Festival All Access Pass: $120 (Get access to both virtual and in-person screenings)
  • In-Person Only Student Ticket: $10 per program

Each ticket purchase grants you access to both virtual and in-person screenings when available, allowing you to choose how you want to experience the festival.

Special Audio-Visual Concert by Mike Kovacs

In addition to the rich array of films, this year’s festival will feature an exciting audio-visual concert by acclaimed singer-songwriter Mike Kovacs on Friday, June 13 at 7:00 PM. Known for blending live music with stunning visual elements, Kovacs’ performance will take your festival experience to a whole new level. The concert will be held at Voorhees Hall at Rutgers University and is a unique opportunity to engage with an immersive multi-sensory performance.
