Matchroom Boxing: Ruiz Jr. vs Knyba & Mielnicki Jr. vs. Ammo

Andy Ruiz Jr. makes his long-awaited return to the ring against Damian Knyba, the third headline show of TNT Sports and DAZN’s The Fight, the new monthly live boxing series, marking Matchroom Boxing’s first-ever card at Prudential Center. Former unified Heavyweight ruler Ruiz Jr., who stunned the sporting world in June 2019 by dethroning Anthony Joshua in the biggest upset in boxing since Buster Douglas took down Mike Tyson, returns after a two-year absence having penned a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, driven to reclaim a world title. Knyba, who calls Prudential Center his second home, expects the New Jersey and New York fans to fill the seats. The co-feature pits new Matchroom signing Vito Mielnicki Jr., a Roseland, NJ native who made his pro debut at Prudential Center in 2019 while still in high school, against World Middleweight title challenger Austin Ammo Williams in a middleweight bout with major implications for both fighters.
