Few voices from the 1990s remain as instantly recognizable as Steven Page’s, and on Tuesday, December 22, that voice returns to The Vogel with his trio, touring in support of a brand new holiday record and nearly four decades of songs that shaped an entire generation’s relationship with Canadian rock.

As a co-founder, vocalist, and songwriter for Barenaked Ladies, Page sang and wrote classics like “Brian Wilson,” “If I Had a Million Dollars,” “What a Good Boy,” and “It’s All Been Done,” helping the band sell more than fifteen million albums and earn multiple Juno Awards, Billboard Music Awards, SOCAN Awards, Gemini Awards, and two Grammy nominations along the way. After leaving the band in 2009, Page built a genuinely substantial solo career, releasing five solo albums, including 2022’s Excelsior, and touring everywhere from folk festivals and cabarets to packed arenas.

A New Holiday Record Built From Real History

This tour supports Page’s new holiday album, Steven’s Greetings, blending new original songs with holiday material he actually wrote during his Barenaked Ladies years, alongside traditional seasonal favorites delivered in one of music’s most recognizable and powerful voices. That mix of genuine nostalgia and new material gives the show a rare kind of depth for a holiday themed tour, one built around an artist’s actual creative history rather than a generic seasonal setlist.

The Steven Page Trio was such a pleasure to watch, the passion was bouncing off the four walls, easily one of the best concerts we’ve ever seen.

Old Favorites Alongside the New

Beyond the holiday material, fans can expect Page to dig into the songs that made him famous in the first place, along with highlights from his solo catalog. Reviewers from recent stops on this tour describe an intimate, genuinely engaging show, with Page’s trio delivering a mix of Barenaked Ladies staples and solo material in a room small enough to actually feel the passion behind every song, rather than getting lost in arena scale distance.

Why This Holiday Show Stands Apart

Holiday tours built around a genuine songwriter, rather than a generic seasonal cover act, tend to offer more than the standard December concert circuit provides. Between nearly forty years of hit songwriting, a brand new record with real personal history behind it, and an intimate trio format that puts Page’s voice front and center, this is a rare chance to close out the year with an artist whose catalog has genuinely shaped popular music, delivered in exactly the kind of room where that catalog is meant to be heard.
