Roses Are Free (Ween) © Browndog Music / Ver Music / Warner-Tamerlane Publishing (BMI)

Take a piece of tinsel and put it on the tree
Cut a slab of melon and pretend that you still love me
Carve out a pumpkin and rely on your destiny
Get in your car and cruise the land of the brave and free

But don’t forget to understand exactly what you put on the tree
Don’t believe the florist when he tells you that the roses are free

Take a wrinkled raisin, and do with it what you will
Push it into third if you know you’re gonna climb that hill
Eat plenty of lasagna ’til you know that you’ve had your fill
Resist all the urges that make you wanna go out and kill

But don’t forget to understand exactly what you put on the tree
Don’t believe the florist when he tells you that the roses are free

Throw that pumpkin at the tree
Unless you think that pumpkin holds your destiny
Cast it off into the sea
Bake that pie and eat it with me

Throw that pumpkin at the tree
Unless you think that pumpkin holds your destiny
Cast it off into the sea
Bake that pie and eat it with me

Let’s take a moment to reflect on what this year has brought us: layoffs, automation, and the unsettling rise of generative models. As we bow our heads for a moment of silence—perhaps lowering our standing desks to half-mast—we must remember that despair is not the answer.

In an age where AI can turn text into code, images into videos, and even water into wine, it’s easy for tech professionals to feel overwhelmed and inadequate. But that’s exactly why the Tech Roast Show is making its rounds across major tech hubs in the US and India—to remind the human techies that they are far from useless.

Yes, we’re inefficient. Yes, we’re flawed. And let’s be honest—many of us are replaceable. But here’s the kicker: as long as you have the means, you hold untapped value. The Tech Roast Show aims to reignite that spark of hope and purpose within the tech community, turning anxiety into laughter and camaraderie.

Join us for a night filled with insightful jabs and comedic relief as our talented roasters take the stage to poke fun at the very industry that keeps us on our toes. They’ll tackle everything from the absurdities of corporate life to the ever-evolving tech trends that leave us scratching our heads.

This isn’t just a roast; it’s a celebration of resilience and creativity. It’s a call to action for every techie feeling the weight of the digital age. We invite you to buy your tickets now, not just to enjoy a night of laughter but to reclaim your place in this ever-changing world.

So, mark your calendars and prepare for an evening of humor, community, and the promise that, despite the chaos, there’s always room for hope.
