In April 2024, Stereophonic became the most Tony®-nominated play in history receiving 13 Award nominations. Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis
Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis has been America’s favorite holiday tradition for 40 years! Grammy® Award-winner Chip Davis has created a show that features Mannheim Steamroller Christmas classics in the distinctive Mannheim sound. The program includes 15 musicians playing more than 20 instruments against a backdrop of dazzling multimedia effects—capturing the spirit of the season in an immersive yet intimate setting.
About Chip Davis
A visionary musician and businessman, Chip Davis is behind a remarkable body of work now spanning five decades. Since founding Mannheim Steamroller and American Gramaphone Records (AGR) in 1974, Davis has written, arranged, and recorded over 35 albums, highlighted by the RIAA multi-platinum certified Mannheim Steamroller catalog. The best-selling Christmas music artist in history with over 31 million Christmas albums sold, the group celebrates the 40th Anniversary of its annual holiday tour in 2025, making it the longest running tour in the entertainment industry.
Davis has achieved worldwide sales of all album titles in excess of 41 million, with four multi-platinum, eight platinum, and 19 gold certifications in the U.S. alone. Furthermore, Davis is the entrepreneur behind the hugely successful Mannheim Steamroller product line, author of nine children’s books, an amateur astronomer, and dedicated philanthropist.
The man behind Mannheim was born Louis F. Davis, Jr. in the archetypal small town of Hamler, OH (Pop. 500), the son of a family to whom music and “a sensitivity to nature” were integral. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1969 with mastery in bassoon and percussion before taking on a job at the Omaha, NE, ad agency, Bozell & Jacobs. In 1974, Davis and fellow ad exec Bill Fries teamed up to create a fictional truck driver named C.W. McCall for a series of Clio Award-winning commercials. A string of hit albums and top 40 singles followed, including the RIAA gold certified #1 classic, “Convoy.”
The success of C.W. McCall allowed Davis to focus on his own original music. He dubbed his new band Mannheim Steamroller—a play on the 18th-century musical technique known as the “Mannheim crescendo”—and in 1975 recorded Fresh Aire, a landmark work melding elements of classical, rock, and pop into something altogether unique. Foiled by the industry’s inability to classify a genre for the album, Davis decided to distribute and sell Fresh Aire on his own and AGR was born.
Davis employed innovative marketing techniques to spread his “18th Century Classical Rock,” and Fresh Aire eventually found its way onto record store shelves everywhere, fitted with the newly created classification “New Age.” Each consecutive album in the Fresh Aire series earned multi-million album sales, countless fans, and, with Fresh Aire 7, the 1991 Grammy® Award for Best New Age Album.
In 1984, Davis had the idea to reinvigorate traditional carols and Yuletide staples via Mannheim Steamroller’s always-eclectic sonic approach. Mannheim Steamroller Christmas proved a phenomenon, the band’s first to reach the Billboard 200 album chart on its way to six-time RIAA platinum certification. A Fresh Aire Christmas followed in 1988, achieving six-time platinum certification and ultimately surpassing its monumentally successful predecessor to be declared the sixth best-selling holiday album of the SoundScan era.
Further Christmas collections resulted in cumulative Christmas album sales in excess of 31 million. The Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Tour quickly became as much a Yuletide tradition; today two separate groups perform across the country.
Mannheim Steamroller’s An American Christmas, a 12-hour nationally broadcast radio special heard annually on over 450 stations across the U.S.
The steadfastly autonomous AGR label has released works by an array of like-minded artists. For their part, Mannheim Steamroller has observed additional holidays such as Halloween and July Fourth while also exploring inspirations spanning the music of Walt Disney films to the majesty of Yellowstone National Park.
Additionally, Davis is the creator of the patented ambient therapy system, inspired by his own neck surgery in 2004. The system enhances healing by reducing stress, anxiety, and other barriers to recovery, combining musical content and four-channel surround sound algorithms. The ambient therapy system is used in medical facilities such as Minnesota’s Mayo Clinic and The National Intrepid Center for Excellence in Bethesda, MD, which serves wounded warriors.
Davis’ lifelong interest in astronomy has led to an extended relationship with NASA, including several trips to Kennedy Space Center in Cocoa Beach and Johnson Space Center in Houston, where his team recorded space shuttle launches and landings that have been characterized as “the most accurate ever made.”
The indefatigable Davis still travels the country on behalf of AGR but prefers to spend his time on his 150-acre farm outside Omaha. He has three children.
Davis determinedly carries on each day with the original spirit of creative drive and invention that first inspired him. “There wasn’t any business plan when I started American Gramaphone,” he says. “There wasn’t any target I was looking at. It’s always been about just moving forward and doing things I like to do.”

An Evening with Tommy Emmanuel, CGP
Guitar icon Tommy Emmanuel, CGP is no stranger to iconic stages from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium to London’s Royal Festival Hall and Paris’ L’Olympia. The legendary entertainer has dazzled audiences across the world. But there is something truly magical about the Sydney Opera House, and the magic of Emmanuel’s performances there were finally captured on his new album Live at the Sydney Opera House.
Emmanuel has a Grammy® Award, multiple ARIA Awards, and countless accolades, but nothing means more to Emmanuel than the three letters Chet Atkins designated at the end of his name: CGP. The title of Certified Guitar Player was the highest honor Atkins could bestow on another player—a signifier that the recipient had not only mastered the instrument but taken it to new vistas and become a guiding light for the next generation of pickers. Like Emmanuel, Atkins had never gone to a university, and the CGP was his version of a PhD or a Doctorate of the guitar. He gave the honor to Emmanuel and only five other handpicked players.
As a songwriter and a performer, Emmanuel is a melting pot of influences across genres, from pop to bluegrass and jazz to rock n’ roll. To him, music is rhythm and emotion, all other distinctions are meaningless. Anyone who has seen him play will tell you, the vocalist is there, as is the drummer, the bass player, and the rhythm and lead guitarists. In a way that must often be seen to be believed, Emmanuel plays all the parts of a full band simultaneously, his fingers dancing around the fretboard with a dexterity and speed that would seem impossible if you weren’t witnessing it.
Mariachi Herencia de México
¡Viva el mariachi! A new generation takes mariachi to whole new heights—two-time Latin Grammy®-nominee Mariachi Herencia de México pushes the boundaries of traditional mariachi music. Simultaneously honoring the past, celebrating the present, and creating the future of mariachi music, Mariachi Herencia de México presents an electrifying and unforgettable night of Mexican music and culture.
The historic tradition of mariachi music has its roots of origin in cities such as Guadalajara and Mexico City. As the ever-evolving genre’s influence spread, it reached Chicago and birthed Mariachi Herencia de México. The band has issued five chart-topping albums and has performed all across the North American continent paving the way for a new generation of mariachi musicians. Nuestra Herencia, their 2017 debut album, topped the Latin streaming charts and earned the band their first Latin Grammy®-nomination for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album. 2018’s Herencia de la Tierra Mía and the series, Esencia and Esencia, Vol. 2 issued in 2019 and 2020, respectively, charted on all major streaming platforms and industry charts. In 2022, their album, Herederos, received a 2023 Latin Grammy® nomination for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album. The young, virtuosic band includes 14 musicians, ages 18-32, representing a new bicultural generation in the U.S.

38 SPECIAL—50 Year Legacy Tour
After five decades, 38 SPECIAL continues bringing their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities annually. At every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band’s performance. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand as testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse.
With sales over 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more. Timeless hits that are immediately recognizable from the first opening chord.
Guitarist/vocalist and founding member, Don Barnes, says it’s all about maintaining that intensity in their live shows. “We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft, or complacent over the years. We’re a team and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.”
Completing the team is bassist Barry Dunaway, drummer Gary Moffatt, and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Jerry Riggs. Since 1976, the band has released more than 15 albums. And from the start, they’ve toured relentlessly, bringing their signature brand of ‘muscle and melody’ to fans worldwide. It is that steely determination that lives on in the hearts of these ‘Wild-Eyed Southern Boys.’ Barnes adds, “This music keeps our wheels on the road. We’re a band that’s tried to stay honest with what has driven us over the years. We started out with nothing but bold determination to make our own history and to endure. Looking back now, it has been our greatest pride to have persevered and attained that level of success and longevity. For us, it’s the ultimate validation.”
