Leonid & Friends is a globally acclaimed, genre-defying 11-piece collective renowned for their astonishingly precise recreations of classic Chicago songs, alongside high-energy performances of other rock, pop, and jazz-fusion hits from the 1970s. Formed by multi-talented musician and producer Leonid Vorobyev, a recording studio sound engineer and choir conductor by training at the East Siberian Institute of Culture, the group features elite vocalists and instrumentalists from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and beyond, united by a shared passion for celebrating this iconic era of music. Originally conceived as a studio project in Moscow under the motto musicians for musicians, Leonid & Friends skyrocketed to international fame when their note-perfect video covers went viral online, earning praise from members of Chicago itself, who published one of the band’s early videos on their own official website. What began as a YouTube phenomenon has since evolved into a world-class touring act, captivating audiences across North America, Europe, and Asia, with over 1.2 million followers across social media, more than 300 million video views, and over 400 successful US shows. The band has since expanded their repertoire to include Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Ides of March, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Deep Purple, and new original material.
