Bent Iron Brewing Co. Celebrates Grand Opening in Hamilton

On August 13, 2024, Hamilton Township proudly welcomed its first brewery, Bent Iron Brewing Co., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Jeff Martin, Councilman Anthony Carabelli, County Executive Dan Benson, and Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo.

Located on Extonville Road, this 5,000-square-foot barn sits on a scenic 55-acre farm. The brewery was envisioned by Peter Brittain, Jon Kanuck, and Dave Sass, who turned their idea into reality with the help of Head Brewer Dave Ascione.

Bent Iron Brewing features a tasting taproom where visitors can enjoy freshly brewed beers, a spacious outdoor seating area with a walkable hop yard, and fire pits. The facility also includes a private room for events and options for beer on the go.

The founders aimed to create a unique destination that combines top-notch craft beers with a fun, welcoming farm setting. “Nestled in the heart of the state, our farm brewery offers a scenic backdrop, family fun, and, of course, refreshing brews,” said Brittain, Kanuck, and Sass.

Mayor Martin expressed enthusiasm about the new addition, stating, “Hamilton’s first brewery will make a great craft beer destination experience for our residents and travelers alike.”
