The Trenton Thunder, presented by NJM Insurance Group, is thrilled to introduce the new “Strike Outs for Community Program” for the 2025 season. In partnership with Fulton Bank, Stark & Stark PC, and First Bank, this initiative aims to support local non-profits through an exciting collaboration that connects the power of Thunder pitching with the generosity of the community.

For each strikeout recorded by a Thunder pitcher during the 2025 season, a $10 donation will be made to a designated local charity. The program’s beneficiary for this season is the Capital Area YMCA, which serves as an important resource for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in the region.
This initiative, which highlights the collective spirit of community involvement, is set to make a significant impact. In 2024, the Thunder’s pitching staff excelled, finishing with a league-leading 689 strikeouts, so fans can expect the donations to quickly add up! Following every home game, the Thunder will announce the number of strikeouts achieved, along with the donation amount, keeping fans engaged and informed about how their support is helping the community.
A Partnership Built on Community Support
The program’s success is rooted in strong community partnerships. Sean Murray, the Market President at Fulton Bank, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, quoting the legendary Yogi Berra: “Baseball is 90% mental, and the other half is physical.” By combining both the mental and physical aspects of the game, the Thunder are turning each strikeout into a way to support a great cause.
“We are thrilled to partner with Fulton Bank, Stark & Stark PC, and First Bank to support the Capital Area YMCA,” said Thunder General Manager Jon Bodnar. “Through this program, we hope to create lasting memories for future generations while making a positive impact on our community.”
Fans attending the 2025 season can look forward to seeing the Strike Outs for Community Program in action throughout the summer. Each game will provide an opportunity to make a real difference, with fans witnessing firsthand how their passion for baseball helps local organizations grow and thrive.
