The Cast

  • Jordan Arredondo (Mateo): Jordan makes his Two River Theater debut with American Mariachi. His regional credits include Sanctuary City at Cincinnati Playhouse and A Christmas Carol at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. In Chicago, he has performed in productions such as In The Heights and Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story at Marriott Theatre, and Guys and Dolls and Grease at Drury Lane.   • Maggie Bofill (Amalia): A long-time NYC actor and founding member of LAByrinth Theater Co., Maggie Bofill is making her Two River debut with American Mariachi. Her impressive credits include world premieres like Judgement Day (Chicago Shakes), Laughs in Spanish (Denver Center for the Performing Arts), and All of Me (Barrington Stage). She has also appeared in Law and Order SVU, The Path, Smash, and High Town.
  • Crissy Guerrero (Soyla): Crissy Guerrero, born in Mexico and raised in California, is making her Two River Theater debut. She originated the role of Soyla Reina in the world premiere of American Mariachi at Denver Center and Old Globe Theaters. Her other credits include In the Heights at Marriott Theatre, and On Your Feet at Moonlight Amphitheatre. Crissy has also appeared on TV in “Parks and Recreation,” “SpongeBob,” and “Big Mouth.” She dedicates her performance to Doreen Montalvo and families struggling with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.   • Addie Morales (Lucha) is an NYC based artist making her Two River Theatre debut! She is most recently known for her role as Cosette in the Broadway National Tour of Les Misérables. Select regional credits include West Side Story (Barrington Stage Company, Berkshire Theatre Award), The Sound of Music (Marriott Theatre- Jeff Award Nomination), In the Heights (Marriott Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse), and Steel Magnolias (Casa Mañana).   • Bobby Plasencia (Mino): Bobby Plasencia makes his Two River debut with American Mariachi. His New York stage credits include Orchid Receipt Service and La Negra. Regionally, he has performed in Somewhere Over The Border and American Mariachi at various theaters. Bobby has appeared on TV in “House of Cards” and “General Hospital,” and in the film Maria Full of Grace. He holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
  • Marta Rymer (Tía Carmen): Marta Rymer, a Boston native, is making her debut at Two River Theater with American Mariachi. Her credits include Once (National Tour), The Spitfire Grill, and Five on Fire. Marta trained at Longy School of Music and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Follow her at www.martarymer.com.
  • Martín Solá (Federico): Martín Solá, a dynamic actor and teacher based in New York City, has an extensive Broadway background including How to Dance in Ohio and On Your Feet. He has also appeared in Miss You Like Hell and Pirates of Penzance at The Shakespeare Lab.   • Heather Velazquez (Boli) hails from Miami, Fl where she graduated from New World School of the Arts with a BFA in Acting and the Performing Arts. She was nominated for 2018 San Diego Critics Circle Craig Noel Award for her Outstanding featured performance as Boli in American Mariachi (The Old Globe). She makes her Two River Debut reprising Boli, a role she originated at Denver Center for The Performing Arts. Off-Broadway: Pipeline (Lincoln Center Theater), Pinkolandia (INTAR Theatre).   • Erika Zade (Gabby) (she/her) is thrilled to be making her Two River Theater debut in their production of American Mariachi!
