Jazz Takes Center Stage Starting Today in Red Bank Celebrating 20 Years of the Jazz Arts Project Summer & Cafe’

Red Bank, New Jersey, is gearing up for an exciting summer as the nonprofit Jazz Arts Project celebrates its 20th year. This milestone season promises a vibrant schedule filled with world-class jazz talent, offering something for every music enthusiast. From intimate café performances to lively outdoor concerts and engaging summer music camps, the Jazz Arts Project is set to inspire and entertain music lovers throughout the Garden State and beyond.

For two decades, the organization has enriched the cultural landscape of New Jersey by presenting stellar jazz artists and fostering musical education. The 2025 summer lineup is a testament to their dedication, featuring a continuous array of events designed to showcase diverse jazz styles and engage the community.

An Unforgettable Summer Lineup

This season offers a mix of ticketed and free events, ensuring accessibility for all residents and visitors:

  • Summer Jazz Café: Experience four weekends of sophisticated, world-class jazz in an intimate setting at Triumph Restaurant & Brewery. Artists include the Frank Vignola Trio (July 11-12), Camille Thurman with the Darrell Green Quartet (July 18-19), the Valery Ponomarev Quintet (July 25-26), and the James Austin, Jr. Quintet (August 1-2). Ticket prices are $30, and reservations are required.
  • Jazz in the Park: Enjoy free, enchanting Thursday evening concerts at 7:00 PM at Riverside Gardens Park. Highlights include performances by the Grace Fox Big Band (July 10), Winard Harper and Jeli Posse (July 31), and the Julius Tolentino Quintet (August 14).
  • Westside Park Jazz Series: Catch free Sunday afternoon concerts at 3:00 PM at Johnny Jazz Park. This series features artists such as the Chuck Lambert Band (August 3), Arturo O’Farrill Afro-Latin Jazz (August 10), and Winard Harper and Jeli Posse (August 24).

In addition to these featured events, the Jazz Arts Project hosts “Jazz Arts Jam” sessions on Monday evenings at Triumph Brewery, providing an opportunity for musicians and fans to connect and share their love for jazz.

Transformative Music Education

Beyond the stage, the Jazz Arts Project is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of jazz musicians. They offer transformative summer music camps, including a free “Middle School Summer Music Camp” and the “Jazz Arts Academy Summer Session,” an award-winning intensive jazz studies program for teen musicians running from July 28th to August 1st.
