DESCRIPTION:Re-defining Insanity The five members of Finger Eleven collectively wrote/recorded over 100 songs during the process of making their fourth Wind-up release Them vs. You vs. Me. These compositions are of varying styles and colors\, ranging from rock to country to dance to funk to old 60’s songs. Many of these were written by exchanging files over the internet wherein one person would track a home recording\, send it off into cyber space\, and then someone else would build on it and send it on down the line. Many of the final cuts on the album were demo-ed and re-recorded at least four times over a period of one and a half years\, undergoing massive changes each time.

Voted Musician of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards 2023\, and with a career spanning several studio albums and numerous high profile collaborations\, her ‘crystalline’ and ‘intoxicating’ vocals have enchanted audiences around the world.\nShe will forever be recognized for singing the theme songs to Brave\, Disney Pixar’s Oscar\, Golden Globe and BAFTA winning animated film\, set in the ancient highlands of Scotland. One of these songs was long-listed for an Oscar. A winner of ‘Folk Singer of the Year’ at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards\, Julie has graced stages around the world\, from village halls in the Highlands to Carnegie Hall in New York\, the Mozart Concert Hall in Vienna\, The Philharmonie de Paris\, Shakespeare’s Globe in London and the World Festival of Sacred Music in Fez\, Morocco. DESCRIPTION:At just eight years old\, Linda Shields discovered her gift\, which would later on turn into a lifelong career for herself. It wasn’t until she was pushed into it that she discovered what it was that she’d be doing for the rest of her life. Now\, 54 years later\, the Jersey Shore Medium is touring around the country and continues to be surrounded by spirits in her day-to-day work. \nEleven years ago\, Shields launched her career into becoming the Jersey Shore Medium. It all started in her early twenties when someone approached her with tarot cards. Little did she know she would never see that person again; however\, she would end up needing those cards again someday. \nIt became public for Shields in the summer of 1990 when she received a phone call to do a reading. Shields’ grandmother was also a psychic who taught her how to turn off and on her senses as well as understand them. \n“There has never been a time where I could not connect with someone\,” says Shields. “It’s the readings that when I can give closure or hope\, that’s what keeps me going.” \nShields is able to use the psychic senses of hearing (Clairaudience)\, tasting/smelling (Clairsentient)\, and physical feeling or being an Empath during a reading. She was never afraid of her spirits due to the fact that she was always surrounded by them. The Jersey Shore Medium admits that she favors Clairaudience because it’s like having a personal dialogue in her head. \n“I want to stay where I am. I like being the Jersey Shore Medium. I just want in the years to come to have the health to keep doing what I’m doing. What emerged is “a creation of poetic beauty” (The New York Times)\, a meditative yet strikingly athletic work about the ties that bind us.\nNamed after the “invincible sun” deity\, the work Sol Invictus upholds love as the guarantor of peace\, that despite fracture\, communion emerges as humanity’s saving grace. SUMMARY:Blues Traveler
DESCRIPTION:Blues Traveler was formed in 1987 by singer/harmonica player John Popper\, guitarist Chan Kinchla\, bassist Bobby Sheehan\, and drummer Brendan Hill; the band was part of a revival of the extended jamming style of ’60s and ’70s groups like the Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin. Blues Traveler were on the vanguard of the jam band scene of the 1990s\, the first of their generation to sign to a major label\, and one of a handful to experience genuine commercial success when the naggingly catchy “Run-Around” went into the Billboard Top Ten in 1995. By that point\, Blues Traveler had already carved themselves a place within the firmament of modern rock\, earning a loyal audience through their sweaty improvs of blues-based rock and coalescing their peers by launching the H.O.R.D.E. Festival in 1992. One of several Lollapalooza-inspired touring fests\, H.O.R.D.E. illustrated the large audience for jam bands and helped push Blues Traveler toward the top of the charts with their 1994 album Four going platinum six times. They didn’t stay in the upper reaches of Billboard for long\, but they never faded away. They worked steadily throughout the 2000s and beyond\, sometimes experimenting — 2015’s Blow Up the Moon was littered with unexpected cameos — but always returning to the blues as their foundation\, a debt underscored by the 2021 blues covers album Traveler’s Blues.

Among his many commands were four years as the 16th Supreme Allied Commander at NATO\, where he oversaw operations in Afghanistan\, Libya\, Syria\, the Balkans\, and counter piracy off the coast of Africa. He also commanded US Southern Command in Miami\, charged with military operations through Latin America for nearly three years. He was the longest-serving Combatant Commander in recent US history. Following his military career\, he served for five years as the 12th Dean of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.\nIn the course of his career in the Navy\, he served as senior military assistant to the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of Defense. He led the Navy’s premier operational think tank for innovation\, Deep Blue\, immediately after the 9/11 attacks. Admiral Stavridis was promoted directly from 1-star rank to 3- star rank in 2004.\nHe won the Battenberg Cup for commanding the top ship in the Atlantic Fleet and the Navy League John Paul Jones Award for Inspirational leadership\, along with more than 50 US and international medals and decorations\, including 28 from foreign nations. He also commanded a Destroyer Squadron and a Carrier Strike Group\, both in combat.\nIn 2016\, he was vetted for Vice President by Secretary Hillary Clinton\, and subsequently invited to Trump Tower to discuss a cabinet position with President Donald Trump.\nHe earned a PhD from The Fletcher School at Tufts\, winning the Gullion prize as outstanding student in his class in 1983\, as well as academic honors from the National and Naval War Colleges as a distinguished student. He speaks Spanish and French.\nAdmiral Stavridis has published thirteen books on leadership\, character\, risk\, the oceans\, maritime affairs\, and Latin America\, as well as hundreds of articles in leading journals. He tweeted the end of combat operations in the Libyan NATO intervention.
