SUMMARY:Symphony X
DESCRIPTION:Michael Romeo formed Symphony X in New Jersey in 1994. The original lineup of the group included Thomas Miller (bass guitar)\, Rod Tyler (vocals)\, Jason Rullo (drums)\, and (keyboards). They released their self-titled debut later that same year. The next year they put out the follow-up The Damnation Game. 1995 also saw Tyler leave the group\, his replacement coming in the personage of. Their next release came out in 1997. It was the critically acclaimed The Divine Wings of Tragedy. In addition to the critical praise\, this disc became the group’s biggest commercial success to date. Before recording their next album\, Rullo left the band. He was replaced by Thomas Walling. With this lineup\, the group released Twilight in Olympus\, which garnered both greater critical kudos and greater sales. In a unique turn of events\, however\, the band faced a new lineup change. Newcomer Walling and bassman Thomas Miller both decided that they were not up to touring for the album. The recently departed Rullo rethought his exodus and came back into the Symphony X fold. was brought in on bass for the duration of the tour. After the tour was over\, the group found a permanent replacement in Mike LePond. This formation of the group released their fifth album in 2000 — V: The New Mythology Suite. The following year\, Symphony X released their first live album\, Live on the Edge of Forever\, which captured performances from their 2000 European tour. In 2002\, the band continued to mine mythology with their sixth studio album\, The Odyssey\, which was based on Homer’s epic of the same name. They band a bit of a break while its members released solo albums but came together again in 2007 with the released of Paradise Lost\, a concept album based on Milton’s tale. Taking a break from mining the past\, the band looked to the future for the theme of their next album. The result was 2011’s Iconoclast\, which featured a darker tone and a cautionary story about machines taking over the world. After a global tour\, the band took an extended break. They began working on new material in 2014. Their ninth studio offering\, Underworld\, was announced in May of 2015. Though not conceptual\, it was loosely inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy\, particularly its first section\, The Inferno. The album was released at the end of July. ~ Gary Hill\, Rovi

DESCRIPTION:What comes to mind when a father\, his two sons\, and their two high school classmates get together and create a show? For starters\, you can say a diverse recipe of hilarious personal stories\, a vast repertoire of songs through multiple decades and genres\, and one family’s journey together through life and music. The Bronx Wanderers pride themselves on being one of the only shows able to entertain grandparents\, their children\, and the grandchildren all in one sweeping musical tour de force. How do they accomplish this? Well\, the generation gap between the band members (30+ years) forces them to satisfy themselves musically\, which satisfies every audience they’ve encountered. The chemistry and energy they exert show after show proves they are still having the best time together on stage\, and you can tell they perform each show like it’s their first or last.\nThe show’s founder and patriarch\, Yo’ Vinny\, takes you on a musical journey through his illustrious career in the record business while working for Lifesong and Columbia Records since he was 17 years old. He’s worked with too many artists to mention\, but in the show\, “each song you hear tonight is someone I’ve either had the pleasure to produce\, sing backup for\, or worked with in the record industry during my 30-year career.” For instance\, you’ll hear songs by Dion and The Belmonts\, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons\, Billy Joel\, The Animals\, Queen\, and even an artist or two from today’s generation. As they say in the band and in countless reviews\, regardless of how old you are\, coming to the show\, everyone leaves feeling like they’re 20 years old.\nThe Bronx Wanderers have been going strong for over 16 years and have amassed many accolades such as touring the entire country headlining festivals\, PACs\, and casinos\, securing a permanent residency in Las Vegas from 2016 to the present\, filling in for Frankie Valli in Dubai\, being the first and only act to have opened for Tony Orlando and Danny Aiello\, backing Dean Martin’s daughter\, Deana\, for multiple shows\, performing the national anthem for the NY Rangers at Madison Square Garden and the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas\, and still managing to have time to volunteer and do charity benefits for the Win-Win Charity Organization\, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital\, and multiple Veteran’s and Armed Forces charities and galas.\nHis two sons are no strangers to their levels of success. His younger son\, Nick\, had the opportunity to drum and perform for Frankie Valli with the Chicago Jersey Boys cast and was even offered a role in Blue Man Group (but his father and brother just couldn’t let him go.) The older son\, Vin A.\, the music director and producer for the group\, is an accomplished songwriter and arranger who recently got to open for Bon Jovi at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in front of 18\,000 people with his original music.

Alongside her piano lessons\, which began at the age of four\, Leiva had been constantly involved in singing with various vocal ensembles that had toured extensively in North America\, South America\, Canada\, and Japan. Altogether she had appeared and sung in over 20 productions before learning the craft of operatic singing. Leiva has performed many roles throughout her undergraduate and graduate training\, in both operatic and musical productions alike. She has appeared in Alcina​ as the titular lead at the Trentino Music Festival in Italy. Her operatic catalogue also includes Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro​\, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel​\, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi​\, Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring\, ​ Adele in Die Fledermaus​\, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance​\, The Princess in Little Nemo in Slumberland​ by Daron Hagen\, and Mary the Mother of Jesus in Marcos Galvany’s Oh My Son​. Leiva has also sung in musicals\, including The Sound of Music​ (as Elsa)\, and Fiddler on the Roof​ (as Hodel). In addition to her work in productions\, Susana has extensive experience in recitals\, concerts with orchestra\, opera scene concerts\, and choral ensemble performances across the U.S. Leiva has studied privately with Eduardo Chama\, Dr. Raejin Lee\, and currently studies with Gerald Moore. Leiva holds a Master’s of Music in Opera Performance from the Mason Gross School of The Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick\, NJ\, and a Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from La Sierra University in Riverside\, CA. DESCRIPTION:Stephen Wilson Jr. is a singer/songwriter from rural Southern Indiana. Wilson was raised by a single father who was a boxer and had him boxing from age seven through adulthood as an Indiana State Golden Gloves finalist. Wilson\, a self-taught guitarist moved to Nashville to pursue a degree in Microbiology at MTSU. There\, he started indie rock band AutoVaughn after finishing his degree. They toured for over five years and Wilson co-wrote songs as lead guitarist until his creative focus turned more to songwriting and singing. After the band\, Wilson relied back on his education where he worked for several years as an R&D scientist at Mars until signing a publishing deal with BMG Nashville in Aug 2016. He is currently building his catalogue and has had songs cut by Caitlyn Smith and Old Dominion\, Tim McGraw\, Trace Adkins\, Chase Bryant\, Mackenzie Porter\, Kameron Marlow\, Sixpence None the Richer and Leigh Nash.\nStephen released his first single “The Devil” and a cinematic video for the song in Sept. 2019 with follow-up\, “Year To Be Young 1994” which is currently featured on Spotify’s Next From Nashville editorial playlist\, Apple Music’s 5th Gear editorial playlist and is in rotation at Nashville’s Triple A station\, Lightning 100.\nWilson almost always plays a late-70’s gut-string acoustic and some of his main influences are Willie Nelson\, Kurt Cobain\, John Mellencamp\, Bruce Springsteen\, The National\, Glen Campbell and Randy Travis.

It wasn’t until she was pushed into it that she discovered what it was that she’d be doing for the rest of her life. Now\, 54 years later\, the Jersey Shore Medium is touring around the country and continues to be surrounded by spirits in her day-to-day work. \nEleven years ago\, Shields launched her career into becoming the Jersey Shore Medium. It all started in her early twenties when someone approached her with tarot cards. Little did she know she would never see that person again; however\, she would end up needing those cards again someday. \nIt became public for Shields in the summer of 1990 when she received a phone call to do a reading. Shields’ grandmother was also a psychic who taught her how to turn off and on her senses as well as understand them. \n“There has never been a time where I could not connect with someone\,” says Shields. “It’s the readings that when I can give closure or hope\, that’s what keeps me going.” \nShields is able to use the psychic senses of hearing (Clairaudience)\, tasting/smelling (Clairsentient)\, and physical feeling or being an Empath during a reading. She was never afraid of her spirits due to the fact that she was always surrounded by them. The Jersey Shore Medium admits that she favors Clairaudience because it’s like having a personal dialogue in her head. \n“I want to stay where I am. I like being the Jersey Shore Medium. I just want in the years to come to have the health to keep doing what I’m doing. As long as I have the energy and the blessings to do it\, I’ll do it as long as I can\,” Shields states. \nShields does shows around the tri-state area.
