SUMMARY:Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
DESCRIPTION:Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Brings Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to Life\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey invites audiences to confront one of literature’s most enduring questions: who is the true monster — the creator or the creation? Their latest production\, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein\, adapted by David Catlin\, immerses theatergoers in a chilling\, thought-provoking retelling of the Gothic classic\, running through November 16. \n\n\n\nSet against a backdrop of flickering lightning and rolling thunder\, this adaptation captures the full intensity of Mary Shelley’s original vision. The story delves into themes of ambition\, creation\, love\, and revenge\, all while presenting audiences with haunting questions about the nature of humanity. The stage becomes a living\, breathing Gothic landscape where horror and pathos collide\, and where the consequences of unbridled scientific curiosity ripple through the lives of both creator and creature. \n\n\n\nThe cast is led by Amber Friendly as Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley/Elizabeth\, Neil Redfield in the dual role of Dr. John Polidori/Henry\, and Brooke Turner as Claire Clairmont/Mother. Jay Wade portrays the Creature\, a role that demands both physical presence and emotional depth\, while Sean-Michael Wilkinson brings Victor Frankenstein to life\, portraying a man driven by obsession and haunted by his own hubris. All five principal performers are members of the Actors Equity Association\, bringing a polished and professional energy to this immersive experience. \n\n\n\nUnder the direction of Brian B. Crowe\, the production combines stylized horror with moments of profound introspection. Haze and carefully crafted lighting effects heighten the atmosphere\, pulling the audience deeper into the narrative as the lines between science and morality blur. While the production contains elements of horror and stylized violence\, it is equally a meditation on grief\, isolation\, and the human desire for connection. The adaptation encourages viewers to consider what it truly means to play God and the ethical implications of unchecked ambition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRecommended for audiences ages 12 and older\, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is not just a Halloween thrill — it’s an intellectually engaging journey that challenges viewers to consider the consequences of creation and the responsibilities that come with power. The production’s mix of suspense\, dark humor\, and emotional intensity makes it a standout in this season’s lineup at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. \n\n\n\nTickets and additional information for this gripping production can be found through Explore New Jersey Theatre. Audiences looking for a night of Gothic intrigue\, theatrical excellence\, and the eerie pulse of classic literature brought to life will find Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein a captivating experience not to be missed.

SUMMARY:Aaron Lewis And The Stateliners
DESCRIPTION:Aaron Lewis\, the Vermont-born powerhouse first found success with Staind – the 2000s-era hard rockers who injected meditative muscle into an era better known for mindless aggression. But while that band is still very much alive\, it was never enough to satisfy Lewis’ creative drive. Embracing his roots to earn a rare second round of success\, a series of solo Country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts – TOWN LINE (2011) and SINNER (2016) – plus a PLATINUM collab with heroes George Jones and Charlie Daniels (“Country Boy”)\, and a GOLD-certified Billboard No. 1 with “Am I The Only One” in 2021. Lewis’ 2022 solo album followed suit\, with FRAYED AT BOTH ENDS emerging as the best-selling Country album in America but he never wrote songs for the stats. No matter the sonic setting\, Lewis writes and sings to get his truth out and his latest album THE HILL (2024) is no different.

SUMMARY:Shaun Cassidy – The Road to Us
DESCRIPTION:Shaun Cassidy is an American writer\, producer\, actor and singer. After originally making his name as a performer\, Cassidy went on to create\, write\, and produce a number of critically acclaimed television series including AMERICAN GOTHIC (produced with Sam Raimi)\, ROAR (starring Heath Ledger)\, COLD CASE\, COVER ME\, THE AGENCY\, INVASION\, and EMERALD CITY. Cassidy most recently spent five years as executive producer and writer for the hit NBC/NETFLIX series NEW AMSTERDAM. \nThe son of Tony award winning actor Jack Cassidy and Academy award winner Shirley Jones (and half-brother of the late singer/actor David Cassidy)\, Shaun grew up in Los Angeles and New York City. While still in high school\, he signed a contract with Warner Brothers records. This led to three multi-platinum albums and numerous top ten hits including the number #1 DA DOO RON RON\, THAT’S ROCK N’ ROLL\, HEY DEANIE\, and DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC. Cassidy received a Grammy nomination for his efforts and performed at every major arena in the country including Houston’s Astrodome and New York’s Madison Square Garden. Almost concurrently\, he starred in the ABC television series THE HARDY BOYS MYSTERIES. Later\, while appearing for over a year on Broadway in the hit musical BLOOD BROTHERS\, Shaun wrote his first television pilot\, AMERICAN GOTHIC. When the show debuted\, The New York Times called it “The most original new show of the season.” \nFrom 2020-2024\, Cassidy took his self-penned music and storytelling show\, THE MAGIC OF A MIDNIGHT SKY\, to the stage\, playing to SRO crowds nationwide and selling out five consecutive nights at New York’s Fifty-Four below. The critic from Broadway World noted: “We haven’t seen this man\, this entertainer\, in live concert for four decades\, and we want to. We never stopped wanting to. So\, we all went. And the voice is still there. The voice is still powerful\, still full of emotion\, texture\, color\, and technique. Not one moment of the “The Magic of a Midnight Sky” should be changed. This show is a dream. Shaun Cassidy\, welcome home. We missed you and are so happy to have you back.” \nShaun makes his home in the wine country of Santa Barbara with his wife\, Tracey\, their four children\, and more animals than he can count. In collaboration with No Kid Hungry\, their family produces a collection of fine wines\, MY FIRST CRUSH\, which donates money to feed hungry children nationwide. Shaun is excited to be launching his next live music and storytelling tour\, THE ROAD TO US\, in the fall of 2025.

SUMMARY:Pat McGann
DESCRIPTION:Pat McGann is quickly rising as one of the sharpest stand-ups in the comedy world. A relative latecomer to the scene\, Pat began stand up at the age of 31 after realizing he was not very good at selling packaging. He hustled his way to become the house emcee at Zanies Chicago\, where he distinguished himself as especially adept at working the crowd. A father of 3 young children\, Pat’s appeal stems from his quick wit & relatable take on family. In 2017\, McGann began touring as the opening act for Sebastian Maniscalco\, moving with him from clubs\, to theaters\, and to arenas\, including 4 sold out shows at Madison Square Garden. McGann’s relatively short\, but impressive resume\, includes performances on The Late Show with David Letterman\, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert\, Montreal’s famed Just For Laughs Festival\, Gilda’s LaughFest\, The Great American Comedy Festival and the Nashville Comedy Fest. McGann still calls Chicago home
