SUMMARY:Foreigner 4: The Deluxe Tour with Lou…
DESCRIPTION:As a frontrunner to the 50th Anniversary for Rock & Roll Hall of Famers FOREIGNER\, the band is excited to announce the September 12\, 2025 release of extensive super deluxe editions of its 1981 smash multi-Platinum album 4.\nRecorded at the famed Electric Lady Studios in New York City alongside respected music producer Mutt Lange (Def Leppard\, AC/DC)\, FOREIGNER 4 Deluxe Editions will be available in black vinyl and various other formats on September 12 via Rhino. The release will encompass newly remastered Stereo and ATMOS versions\, and a five-disc CD/Blu-ray package that includes a booklet containing over 60 exclusive photos\, five previously unreleased songs\, 14 early and alternate versions of various songs\, 15 instrumentals\, and 15 live performances from across the globe\, spanning the band’s 1981 and 1982 “4” World Tour. The digital deluxe release will also contain alternate versions\, instrumentals\, and live performances from the era\, including a previously unfinished track from the original F4 recording sessions that features the original band with a newly written and recorded verse by Lou Gramm. As the first single off of the project\, “Fool If You Love Him” is available today digitally.\nOriginally released July 2\, 1981\, 4 spent more weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts than any artist in the history of Atlantic Records\, including AC/DC\, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin\, and went on to sell more than ten million albums worldwide. 4 is certified 6x Platinum in the U.S. (RIAA)\, 4x Platinum in Canada (Music Canada)\, Platinum in Australia (ARIA) and Germany (BVMI)\, and Gold in 7 additional countries. It spawned three Billboard Hot 100 singles: “Waiting For A Girl Like You”\, “Urgent”\, and “Juke Box Hero.” “Foreigner 4”\, as it’s often referred to\, is the fourth studio album by the legendary British-American rock band released during a time of transition as they famously went from six members to four.\nReleased in 1977\, FOREIGNER‘s debut album produced the hits “Feels Like The First Time\,” “Cold As Ice” and “Long\, Long Way From Home.” The albums Double Vision and Head Games followed with more hits including “Hot Blooded”\, “Blue Morning\, Blue Day” and “Dirty White Boy”. Then came “Urgent\,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You.” Those songs helped give FOREIGNER‘s next album\, 4\, its impressive 10-week run at #1 on the Billboard chart. At the zenith of ‘80s sound\, FOREIGNER‘s fifth album\, Agent Provacateur\, gave the world the incredible #1 global hit\,” I Want To Know What Love Is.” This musical milestone followed the record-breaking song “Waiting For A Girl Like You.”

SUMMARY:The Sensational Soul Cruisers
DESCRIPTION:The Sensational Soul Cruisers are not just another 11-man vocal harmony group with horns. While it is still sometimes possible to find a band featuring a similar line up of instruments\, it is unlikely that you will ever find another that performs with as much energy\, passion\, and talent as these guys. From their humble beginnings rehearsing in Freehold Borough at the chicken coops on Route 33 to the basement of the Cycle Shop on Throckmorton Street\, this band has come a long way from its “Eddie and the Cruisers” days to become one of New Jersey’s best kept secrets.\nUnder the tutelage of legendary Jersey Shore sax player Screamin’ Steve Barlotta\, who has been the captain of this fantastic soul cruise for over 30 years\, who has catapulted this band from the recesses of a dingy basement to over 200 performances a year while capturing the true essence of the Jersey Shore sound and its true R&B roots. Fortunately for those of us that feel that the sound of classic Philly Soul\, Motown\, Disco\, Stax\, and the music of The Temptations\, Four Tops\, Earth Wind & Fire\, Chicago\, The Trammps and other such groups was and still is some of the best music ever recorded or played live\, there will be plenty of chances to see the Sensational Soul Cruisers perform this year and for many years to come. While the band travels to and plays concerts in theaters\, clubs\, public festivals\, and private events throughout the country\, they will be spending quite a bit of time up & down the east coast this year.\nOver the past 3 decades the Soul Cruisers have been fortunate enough to grace the stage with many great artist from Bruce Springsteen\, Little Anthony and The Imperials\, Gloria Gaynor\, Gary US Bonds\, John Cafferty\, Southside Johnny\, The Emotions\, Bon Jovi\, Smokey Robinson\, Stevie Wonder. As well as being the long time favorite house band at New York City’s famed Copacabana.\nBand Members:\nScreamin’ Steve Barlotta – Tenor Saxophone\nStan Tartas – Bass Guitar\nSir Michael Winstanley – Keyboards\nMatt Curran – Drums\nDr. Steve Hyde– Trumpet\nJC Rossetti – Guitar & Vocals\nGabriel Morris – Vocals\nMichael Hartsfield – Vocals\nEric Barney – Vocals\nRonnie Wah Wah Anthony – Vocals\nPete Maurer – Trombone

Doors open at 7 p.m.\, with the show beginning at 8 p.m.\, promising an evening steeped in power pop history\, ringing guitars\, and songs that have soundtracked decades of American rock radio. \n\n\n\nFormed in Carteret in 1980\, The Smithereens emerged at a time when sharp songwriting and classic influences were colliding with modern edge. Pat DiNizio\, Jim Babjak\, Mike Mesaros\, and Dennis Diken crafted a sound that drew heavily from the melodic sophistication of the British Invasion while retaining the grit and immediacy of American garage rock. That balance became their signature\, earning the band a loyal following well beyond New Jersey and placing them firmly in the national conversation by the mid-1980s. \n\n\n\nTheir ascent accelerated with the release of Especially for You in 1986\, an album that produced enduring staples like “Blood and Roses” and “Behind the Wall of Sleep.” Those songs\, driven by chiming guitars and emotionally direct lyrics\, helped define an era of alternative-leaning rock that still felt rooted in classic songcraft. Subsequent releases\, including Green Thoughts and 11\, expanded their reach even further\, yielding hits such as “Only a Memory\,” “A Girl Like You\,” and “Too Much Passion.” During that period\, The Smithereens became fixtures on MTV and college radio while sharing stages with artists ranging from Tom Petty and Lou Reed to The Pretenders. \n\n\n\nLive performance has always been central to the band’s reputation\, and that reputation has only grown with time. Their shows are known for muscular arrangements\, tight harmonies\, and an unpretentious connection with the audience. Alongside their original work\, the band has also paid homage to its influences through full-album tributes to icons like The Beatles and The Who\, reinforcing their place within the broader lineage of classic and alternative rock. \n\n\n\nAfter the passing of Pat DiNizio in 2017\, Babjak\, Mesaros\, and Diken chose not to close the book on the band’s legacy. Instead\, they moved forward with purpose\, honoring their longtime frontman by keeping the music alive onstage. In recent years\, that approach has included collaborations with respected guest vocalists\, among them John Cowsill\, whose résumé includes both The Cowsills and a long tenure with The Beach Boys. His presence adds a fresh dynamic while remaining faithful to the spirit of the songs fans know by heart. Other guest vocalists have included Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms and Marshall Crenshaw\, underscoring the band’s wide-ranging influence across generations of rock artists. \n\n\n\nThe Smithereens’ recorded legacy continues to evolve as well. Their most recent release\, The Lost Album\, brings previously unheard sessions featuring DiNizio to light\, offering fans a deeper look into the band’s creative history and reaffirming the timeless quality of their songwriting. \n\n\n\nSet against the intimate yet refined atmosphere of the Vogel\, this Red Bank performance is more than just a concert. It is a home-state celebration of a band that helped shape modern American rock while never losing its New Jersey roots. For longtime listeners and newcomers alike\, it is an opportunity to experience a living chapter of the state’s rich musical story\, one that remains an essential part of the broader New Jersey music scene highlighted throughout Explore New Jersey’s coverage of live music and artists.

SUMMARY:Darlene Love – Love for the Holidays
DESCRIPTION:A Holiday Homecoming in Red Bank as Darlene Love Brings Her Legendary Christmas Show to the Jersey Shore \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe arrival of the holiday season in New Jersey takes on added meaning this December when Darlene Love returns to Red Bank with her celebrated concert event\, Love for the Holidays. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee will light up the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Basie Center Campus on Friday\, December 19\, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the performance beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m. For generations of music fans\, this annual tour has become as essential to the season as twinkling lights and winter classics on the radio. \n\n\n\nFew voices are as deeply woven into the fabric of American Christmas music as Love’s. Her unmistakable performances on Phil Spector’s famed holiday recordings helped define the sound of the season\, with songs like “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)\,” “White Christmas\,” “Winter Wonderland\,” and “Marshmallow World” remaining staples decade after decade. Those recordings continue to resonate not simply as nostalgia\, but as living\, breathing works that still feel vital each December. \n\n\n\nLove’s influence extends far beyond the studio. Her voice has been a familiar presence in countless films\, television shows\, and commercials\, becoming synonymous with warmth\, celebration\, and emotional connection. From major motion pictures to classic holiday broadcasts\, her sound has quietly underscored some of the most memorable moments in pop culture\, cementing her status as one of the most recognizable vocalists of her era. \n\n\n\nHer journey began in the early 1960s\, emerging from the famed “Wall of Sound” sessions as one of the era’s most powerful singers. That early work quickly led to collaborations with a remarkable range of artists\, including Elvis Presley\, Tom Jones\, Dionne Warwick\, and Bruce Springsteen. Over time\, her career evolved into something rare: a voice that bridges generations while remaining instantly identifiable. Accolades followed naturally\, including recognition by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest singers of all time\, a distinction widely echoed by fans and fellow musicians alike. \n\n\n\nHoliday performances have become a defining chapter of Love’s career. For nearly three decades\, she delivered a show-stopping rendition of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” on The Late Show with David Letterman\, turning the appearance into one of late night television’s most beloved traditions. Letterman famously described her voice as the sound of Christmas itself\, a sentiment that has only grown stronger over time. More recently\, her high-profile appearances alongside artists such as Cher\, Steven Van Zandt\, and Paul Shaffer have reaffirmed her enduring relevance and star power. \n\n\n\nNow in her mid-80s\, Love continues to tour with remarkable vitality\, bringing both joy and authenticity to every performance. Her upcoming New Jersey stop offers audiences a rare chance to experience a living legend in an intimate\, acoustically rich setting. The Red Bank engagement also reinforces the state’s ongoing role as a cornerstone of live performance and seasonal celebrations within the broader New Jersey music scene\, a tradition highlighted year-round across Explore New Jersey’s coverage of live music and cultural events. \n\n\n\nBeyond the stage\, Love’s story is still unfolding. She has recently completed filming on a new docuseries slated for release in 2026\, promising an in-depth look at her extraordinary life\, career\, and influence. It is yet another reminder that her impact reaches far beyond a single season\, even as her holiday concerts remain a cherished annual ritual. \n\n\n\nAs Love for the Holidays arrives in Red Bank\, audiences can expect more than a concert. What unfolds is a shared celebration of memory\, music\, and the unmistakable power of a voice that continues to define the season for millions.

SUMMARY:Darlene Love - Love For The Holidays
DESCRIPTION:Rolling Stone Magazine has proclaimed Darlene Love to be “one of the greatest singers of all time” and that certainly rings true\, but perhaps Paul Shaffer says it even more concisely: “Darlene Love is Rock N’ Roll!” – which was made official when she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Bette Midler\, a great fan of her work\, in 2011. During the celebration\, the two ladies enjoyed performing “He’s A Rebel” together and as part of the festivities\, Darlene also sang “He’s A Fine\, Fine Boy” backed by another distinguished fan\, Bruce Springsteen. At the Academy Awards\, Darlene sang her powerful acceptance speech on behalf of all of the performers in the winning film “Twenty Feet From Stardom.” As she raised the Oscar\, the entire house stood with a cheering ovation\, led by the wildly applauding Bill Murray. It was another special moment in a great career. A Grammy award soon followed for the soundtrack of the film.  Her Billboard hits include: He’s A Rebel\, The Boy I’m Gonna Marry\, Wait ‘Til My Bobby Gets Home\, He’s Sure the Boy I Love and the #1 holiday classic Christmas Baby (Please Come Home)\, a song that she performed annually with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Symphony Orchestra on The Late Show With David Letterman for some 29 years until Letterman retired.  To continue this long-standing tradition\, Darlene performs a number of special Christmas shows every year and continues to enchant her fans with the Christmas spirit.
