SUMMARY:Man of La Mancha
DESCRIPTION:Dream the Impossible Dream with “Man of La Mancha” at Music Mountain Theatre! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrepare to be transported to a world of idealism\, courage\, and timeless melodies as Music Mountain Theatre proudly presents “Man of La Mancha\,” one of the most beloved and enduring musicals in theatrical history. This powerful production\, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ epic 17th-century masterpiece Don Quixote\, invites audiences to witness a profound story of conviction set against the dramatic backdrop of the Spanish Inquisition. \n\n\n\n“Man of La Mancha” masterfully weaves a play-within-a-play\, as Cervantes finds himself imprisoned and facing trial. To defend himself and his fellow inmates\, he enacts the extraordinary tale of Alonso Quijana\, an elderly gentleman who\, in his “madness\,” renames himself the chivalrous knight “Don Quixote” and sets forth on a noble quest to right the world’s wrongs. This celebrated musical\, which garnered five Tony Awards including Best Musical in its original 1965 Broadway run\, speaks to the power of imagination and the human spirit’s indomitable will to find beauty and purpose\, even in the bleakest of circumstances. \n\n\n\nAudiences will be swept away by the rousing\, Spanish-inflected score\, which features iconic and unforgettable numbers such as “The Impossible Dream\,” “I\, Don Quixote\,” “Dulcinea\,” “I Really Like Him\,” and “Little Bird.” These songs have resonated with millions\, becoming anthems for those who dare to reach for a world that “should be” rather than merely accepting the world “as it is.” \n\n\n\nImportant Information for Our Guests: \n\n\n\n\nContent Warning: Please be advised that “Man of La Mancha” contains theatrical haze/fog\, explores mature themes\, includes references to bodily harm\, and features scenes of both emotional and physical intensity.\n\n\n\nRecommended Age: This production is recommended for ages 13 and up\, ensuring an appropriate experience for all attendees.\n\n\n\n\nPerformance Schedule: \n\n\n\n\nDates: August 8th – August 24th\n\n\n\nEvening Performances: Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 PM\n\n\n\nMatinee Performances: Saturdays & Sundays at 3:00 PM\n\n\n\n\nGroup Savings Available! SUMMARY:Adam Ezra Group
DESCRIPTION:He takes a month out of each year to visit the living rooms of his fans around the country…His band and nonprofit organization RallySound host a free festival every summer that raised $151\,000 for homeless veterans in 2024…He live-streamed for 500 nights in a row during the pandemic…They co-produced an album with 163 fans…\nIf you haven’t connected with Adam Ezra Group yet\, these are just a few examples to help you understand how this underground\, Americana songwriter and his bandmates seem to have popped out of nowhere\, establishing a connection with their fans unlike any other\, and are suddenly selling out theaters throughout the Northeast.\nAdam Ezra will joke with you that while the “nowhere” part might be accurate\, nothing has ever just “popped” for this folk musician\, activist. Without resources\, connections\, or any kind of clue how the music world works\, Ezra began playing shows over 20 years ago. When music venues wouldn’t hire him\, he played bars\, bookstores\, fields\, and parking lots\, often raising money for causes he cared about; a practice that grew into his nonprofit organization RallySound.\n“We’d play 5 hours a night\,” Adam reminisces\, “more often than not\, in danger of outnumbering the audiences we were playing for…”\nSo how did this band operating so far outside the traditional music world come to win New England Music Award’s “Americana Act of the Year” in 2023? What could have happened to inspire John Oates to call Adam and invite him to begin a songwriting friendship that would lead to John producing their latest release and co-write\, “Hold Each Other Now”? What happened to catch the attention of The Wallflowers\, who recently invited AEG to join them on their spring tour\, or SPIN Magazine who recently proclaimed\, “This Independent Underground Folk Band Is Blowing Up Without Selling Out”?\nIf you ask Adam\, he’ll tell you:\n“One person at a time\, over many years and thousands of shows\, decided to turn their heads to listen. One person at a time decided to share our music with folks they care about. That’s always been our story. It’s no fairytale\, but it sure makes me proud and humbled when I look out from the stage to watch theaters full of people singing along to our music.”\nThese days you’ll find Adam and his bandmates\, Corinna Smith (Fiddle)\, Poche Ponce (Bass)\, and Alex Martin (Percussion)\, constantly out on the road. If you look at their tour schedule now\, you can buy tickets to see them at festivals\, rock venues\, and theaters around the country\, but you will also see their tour continuously peppered with activism and grassroots events; a testament to an artist who will never forget where he came from\, and whose mission is about much more than music.

SUMMARY:Asleep At The Wheel - Happy Trails Tour
DESCRIPTION:For over fifty years\, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson has been traversing the globe as an ambassador of Western swing music and introducing its irresistible sound to generation after generation. More than 100 musicians have passed through the Wheel\, but Benson remains the front man and the keeper of the vision\, in the process racking up more than 30 albums\, ten Grammy awards and literally millions of miles on the road. \n“I’m the reason it’s still together\, but the reason it’s popular is because we’ve had the greatest singers and players\,” Benson explains. “When someone joins the band\, I say\, ‘Learn everything that’s ever been done\, then put your own stamp on it.’ I love to hear how they interpret what we do. I’m just a singer and a songwriter\, and a pretty good guitar player\, but my best talent is convincing people to jump on board and play this music.” \nAsleep at the Wheel has collaborated on records with genre-spanning friends\, including Willie Nelson on 2009’s Grammy Nominated Willie and the Wheel and other critically acclaimed artists\, including Brad Paisley\, Jamey Johnson\, Merle Haggard\, George Strait\, the Avett Brothers\, Amos Lee\, Old Crow Medicine Show and Lyle Lovett on Still the King\, their 2015 critically acclaimed and Grammy winning tribute to Bob Wills. On their latest release\, Half A Hundred Years \, Asleep At The Wheel continued their contributions to the American music landscape when three original members of Asleep at the Wheel—Chris O’Connell\, Leroy Preston\, and Lucky Oceans—returned after 40 years to lend their voices and musicianship to a number of tracks on the album along with Emmylou Harris\, Lee Ann Womack\, George Strait\, Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson. \nAsleep at the Wheel represents an important cornerstone of American roots music\, even though some of its members and audiences represent a new generation. That far-reaching appeal remains a testament to Benson’s initial vision. \n“It took me 60 years\, but I’m doing what I’m meant to do—singing and playing and writing better than I ever have. A bandleader is just someone who gathers people around them to play the best music they can play. I just try and make the best decisions possible and kick some ass every night onstage.”
