After four days of voting, Old Tappan quarterback Alex Orecchio was selected as the North Jersey Football Player of the Week.
The junior ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for two scores, in the Golden Knights’ 38-6 win over Pascack Valley on Thursday night. Old Tappan owns North Jersey’s longest winning streak at nine games.

Paramus running back
The senior ran for three long touchdowns in the Spartans’ 35-7 win over Demarest on Thursday night. His touchdown runs went for 67, 60 and 36 yards, all in the first half.
Aidan Colon
Fort Lee running back
The senior ran for two touchdowns in the Bridgemen’s 20-7 win over Cliffside Park/Ridgefield. His first score went for 49 yards, setting the tone for Fort Lee’s first win over a Cliffside Park team since 2017.
Luca Gemma
Ramsey RB/LB
The senior carried the ball 15 times for 187 yards and five touchdowns, as well as a two-point conversion, in the Rams’ 33-21 win over Bergenfield on Friday afternoon. He also made nine tackles on defense.
Chris Gioia
Rutherford QB/DB
The junior completed 11 of 14 passes for 222 yards and four touchdowns, and also ran for two scores, in the Bulldogs’ 47-35 win over Garfield. On defense, he had a hand in 13 tackles, including two for a loss.

Dumont quarterback
The senior carried the ball 14 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for two scores, in the Huskies’ 34-7 win over Glen Ridge on Thursday night.
Nate Johnson
Northern Highlands quarterback
The junior completed 7 of 8 passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for two scores, in the Highlanders’ 35-7 win over Ridgewood on Thursday night.
Ayden Jones
Hackensack RB/DB
The senior carried the ball 23 times for 285 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yard TD run, in the Comets’ 28-6 win over Belleville. He also made six tackles and intercepted a pass on defense.
Wakee King
Elmwood Park WR/DB
The junior made the play of the game, returning an interception for a touchdown in the Crusaders’ 55-12 win over Harrison on Thursday. He also ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass in the win.
Damian Kribs
Passaic Valley QB/DB
The senior carried the ball 17 times for 98 yards and a touchdown, and also intercepted a pass on defense, in the Hornets’ 21-0 win over Lakeland on Friday night.
Sean McGeehan
North Arlington QB/LB
The senior completed all seven of his pass attempts for 205 yards and three touchdowns, and also ran for a score, in the Vikings’ 41-12 win over Saddle Brook on Saturday.
Jonnie Mongelli
Wayne Hills running back
The junior ran for three touchdowns as the Patriots scored 28 unanswered points in the second half of a 28-9 win over North Bergen on Thursday night.
Dominic Passero
Hawthorne WR/DB/K
The senior kicked two field goals and made a key interception in his own end zone in the Bears’ 20-14 win over Pompton Lakes on Friday afternoon. Hawthorne is now 3-0 and in first place in the NJIC Meadowlands division.

The senior completed 7 of 12 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran 27 times for 189 yards and a touchdown, in the Bucs’ 34-20 win over Manchester on Saturday. On defense, he made seven tackles.
Jordan Thomas
Bergen Catholic defensive back
The sophomore intercepted two passes in the Crusaders’ 38-0 win over Seton Hall Prep on Saturday. Bergen Catholic’s defense registered five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in the win.
Marlon Torres
Passaic wide receiver
The senior caught two long touchdown passes in the Indians’ 35-8 win over Dickinson on Thursday night. He caught a 73-yard touchdown reception in the first half and an 88-yarder in the second half.
Jovan Tyrell
Passaic Tech WR/DB
The senior set the tone early in Passaic Tech’s 43-19 win over West Orange by intercepting a pass and returning it 49 yards for the first score of the game.
