I am writing to express my gratitude for the work Gloucester County Commissioner Jim Jefferson is doing for the county’s senior community. Jefferson’s leadership as the liaison to the Department of Senior Services has been outstanding, as he promoted and took part in five holiday luncheon celebrations for over 2,500 seniors this past December.
Jefferson understands the unique needs of senior citizens and the importance of bringing the senior community together to socialize, dance and have fun with friends old and new. The holiday events were not only a wonderful time for those who attended, but they were also great opportunities to provide seniors with important information about services.
In addition to his work with seniors, Jefferson is fiercely dedicated to providing help for individuals facing issues with addition. Addiction is an issue that impacts many families throughout Gloucester County and South Jersey, and Jefferson works tirelessly to promote county policies that provide those who are suffering a path toward hope and recovery.
This is extremely important work, and I am thankful for Jim Jefferson and all he is doing to serve Gloucester County residents.
